At ports handling tens of thousands of containers monthly, the Container Scanning Division management system built by iWebs serves as the operational backbone for one of customs enforcement's most critical functions: identifying contraband, undeclared goods, and security threats without creating paralysing delays in legitimate trade flows. The platform manages the end-to-end scanning workflow — from risk-based container selection and scanner queue assignment through to image capture, AI-assisted image analysis, officer review, and case escalation or clearance. The integrated AI engine analyses scan imagery in real time, flagging anomalous density patterns, concealed compartments, and mismatches between declared cargo descriptions and visual scan profiles. Flagged images are immediately routed to trained reviewing officers with side-by-side comparison against manifests and historical scan data, enabling rapid, evidence-backed disposition decisions. When a positive detection occurs, the system automatically generates a seizure workflow: alert notifications, coordinating officer assignments, chain-of-custody documentation, and escalation to enforcement teams — all tracked digitally with timestamps that protect the integrity of subsequent legal proceedings. Comprehensive analytics dashboards give divisional management visibility into scanner utilization rates, detection hit rates by risk profile, throughput velocity, and equipment downtime. The system supports multiple scanner models and communication protocols, making it deployable across heterogeneous port environments. By combining AI-driven detection with structured human review, the platform significantly improves both enforcement effectiveness and scanning throughput.
